Common side effects

Effects in the eye: inflammation of the ocular surface with surface damage, eye pain, blurred vision, abnormal vision, dry eyes, itchy eyes, eye discomfort, signs and symptoms of eye irritation (eg, burning, pain).

Uncommon side effects (May affect up to 1 in 100 people)
Effects in the eye: inflammation of the surface of the eye, inflammation of the eyelid, swollen conjunctiva, increased growth of eyelashes, iritis, conjunctivitis, photophobia, reduced vision, tired eyes, eye allergy, eye swelling, increased lacrimation, eyelid redness, change in the blink color.

General effects
Rash, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, fainting, depression, asthma, increased heart rate, numbness or tingling, palpitations, swelling of the lower legs, bad taste in the mouth.

In addition: DuoTrav is a combination of two active substances. Like other medicines that are applied in the eyes absorbed travoprost and timolol (a beta blocker) in the blood. This can cause similar side effects observed with intravenous (given into a vein) and / or oral (taken by mouth), beta blocking drugs. The incidence of adverse events following administration of the eyes is lower than when drugs such as taken by mouth or injected. The following listed side effects have not been reported for DuoTrav but includes reactions seen in the class of beta blockers when used for the treatment of eye conditions: Eye Effects: inflammation of the eyelid, inflammation of the cornea, detachment of the layer under the retina that contains blood vessels after filtration surgery, which can cause visual disturbances, decreased sensitivity of the cornea, the erosion of the cornea (damage to the anterior pole layer), double vision, changed the color of the iris.
General effects:

Heart and Circulation: slow heartbeat, palpitations, edema (fluid retention), changed the rhythm or rate of the heartbeat, congestive heart failure (heart disease with shortness of breath and swelling of the feet and legs due to fluid collection), a type of heart rhythm disorder, heart attack, low blood pressure, Raynaud's phenomenon, cold hands and feet, reduced blood supply to the brain. Respiratory: constriction of the airways in the lungs (especially in patients with pre-existing disease), difficulty breathing, nasal congestion. The nervous system and general symptoms: difficulty sleeping (insomnia), nightmares, memory loss, loss of strength and energy. Gastro-intestinal: taste disturbance, nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, vomiting.
