Azopt eye drops -side effects include: optic nerve damage, memory problems, depression, difficulty sleeping, nervousness, chest pain, asthma, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath and the list goes on and on.

Azopt eye drops, suspension 10 mg/ml made by Alcon Laboratories (UK) Ltd.

Usage: Treatment of glaucoma (glaucoma is increased pressure within the eye)
Side effects:
Common side effects (Affects 1 to 10 users in 100)
Effects in the eye: blurred vision, eye irritation, eye pain, eye discharge, itchy eyes, dry eyes, abnormal sensation in the eye, redness, itching, redness, or swelling of the eyelids.
Side effects in other parts of the body: bad taste, headache, dry mouth.

Uncommon side effects (Affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)

Side effects in other parts of the body: Decreased or irregular heart rate, cardiac function, heart palpitations, chest pain, asthma, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, decreased red blood cells, increased levels of chlorine in the blood, dizziness, fatigue, memory problems, depression, difficulty sleeping, nervousness, irritability, fatigue, general weakness, abnormal sensations, pain, shaking, ringing in the ears, decreased sexual desire, sexual problems in men, cold symptoms, feeling of tightness in the chest, cough, sinus infection, throat irritation, abnormal or decreased sensation in the mouth, inflammation the esophagus, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, frequent bowel movements, diarrhea, intestinal gas, indigestion, kidney pain, muscle pain, muscle spasms, back pain, nose bleeds, dry nose, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, rashes, abnormal skin sensations, itching, hair loss.

Other side effects reported include:
Effects in the eye: eyelid abnormality, decreased growth or number of eyelashes.

Side effects in other parts of the body: increased allergic symptoms, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, abnormal liver function tests, frequent urination, swelling of the extremities, decreased sensation, decreased taste ability, joint pain, pain in the limbs, skin redness, inflammation or itching.
