Usage: Treatment of cholesterol.
Simvastatin Krka is a medicine used to lower levels of total cholesterol in the blood, the "bad" cholesterol (LDL cholesterol) and blood fats, called triglycerider.Simvastatin Krka also increases levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL cholesterol).

Rare serious side effects (may affect 1 of 1000 users, thats up to 0,1% of all users):
muscle pain, tenderness, weakness or cramps. On rare occasions, muscle problems may be serious, including muscle breakdown resulting in kidney damage and in very rare cases, people have died
hypersensitivity (allergic) reactions including:
swelling of the face, tongue and throat, which can cause breathing difficulties
severe muscle pain, usually in the shoulders and hips
rash with weakness of limbs and neck muscles
pain or inflammation of the joints (polymyalgia rheumatica)
inflammation of the blood vessels (vasculitis)
bruises of unknown cause, skin rashes and swelling (dermatomyositis), hives, skin sensitivity to sunlight, fever, redness
shortness of breath (dyspnea) and malaise
lupus-like disease picture (including rash, joint disorders, and effects on blood cells)
inflammation of the liver with the following symptoms: yellowish color of the skin and eyes, itching, dark urine or pale stools, feeling of tiredness or weakness, loss of appetite, liver failure (very rare)
inflammation of the pancreas often with severe abdominal pain.
Ok 0,1% might sound very little. But keep in mind that Simvastatin is sold under many various names.
